Synopsis

Gabby Sullivan’s wedding has been perfectly planned down to the tiniest detail. What she can’t control is a blizzard scheduled to blow into town the week before and a friend who has given up on love. As friends and family find themselves hunkered down in a blissful mountain lodge, new love sparks between two unsuspecting people who stopped believing in love a very long time ago. But sometimes it takes more than a blizzard and a Christmas miracle for the magic of the season to come alive. It takes a man who is willing to have his heart broken if it means getting to spend just one more night with the woman he let get away. This is Emily’s Happily Ever After. Inside Flap: Six years ago, Emily Darman had the worst Christmas Eve possible. Her husband left her with a smile on his face, and it made her doubt just about everything about the season and the opposite sex. When her friends get wind of Emily’s recent online dating fiascos, they’re determined to find her a match made for the holidays. After all, it has been six years… Using Gabby’s wedding as the perfect guise, Emily’s friends promise her a weekend of unwanted fun with two potential blind dates. It isn’t until a snowstorm derails their perfectly planned scheme that fate steps in and hands Emily an opportunity she just can’t resist.

Excerpt

“What?” I whispered, following his gaze to the tiny green bundle dangling above us. “We have to follow the rules,” he murmured, closing the gap between us. Even in the frigid temperatures I immediately felt a rush of heat run through my body as he pressed the strength of his body against me, making my world spin. He tilted his head slightly and pushed my hair to the side, whispering for me to come closer. I nodded, and before I even had chance to move, his lips touched mine. My blanket fell to the ground as I closed my eyes and melted into his embrace. His lips slowly parted, and I kissed him back, hungry for the companionship I was afraid to let myself have. I ran my fingers through his hair as our kisses deepened, and everything else drifted away. I no longer cared where I was or where I’d be tomorrow. For now, I was where I needed to be.
