Genre: Science Fiction

Setting: Outer Space

Synopsis

Katerina Anderson’s adventure continues as she and the crew of the Wolfegang are on their way to the planet Asgard...

I never really thought we would make it this far. Not only are we so close to completing our mission for the Norse king, but my brother is almost within my grasp. Kris and I will no longer be alone in the vast reaches of space.

The only problem is the Federation is catching up to me and the crew and we might not have the time we need to complete our mission. I just hope we make it to Asgard before the Federation.

Review

I was hired to proofread this book. The author is not and was not aware that I would be reviewing it. It was not part of our agreement. If you feel that my connection to the book makes my review unreliable, so be it, but this is my honest review.

This is the fifth book in the series and the first one I've read. I'm obviously missing loads of back story, but I never felt lost. There was sufficient explanation for things from the past that I always felt like I was up to speed with what was going on in the story. That being said, I fully plan on going back and reading the rest of the series because I love these characters and want to know how they got to this point.

This book was loaded with action, intrigue, and a smidgen of romance, just enough to titillate anyone's romantic senses without detracting from the focus of the story. I frequently found myself anxious, wondering how Kat would handle various situations she found herself in. I'm still anxious now to find out what happens next in the series.

Overall I give Far From Safe 5 out of 5 stars because it kept me engaged and wanting more and I never felt like I was missing crucial elements of the back story in spite of not reading the rest of the series yet. - Katie

About the Author

My readers are what's important to me. Yes, I write for myself and the enjoyment of it, but I adore when a reader actually has a great time reading a story I slaved over. I don't write any particular genre, but I do stick to kick-ass female characters. I love writing about all types of differently strong women. My debut series is Young Adult Science Fiction. The first novella is free to see if you enjoy what I write.

I'm very involved with my fandoms, and love all things geeky and nerdy. I love connecting with my readers, so if you'd like to contact me just head over to my website :)

  1. The fact that you were able to read the fifth book in the series and not get lost speaks volumes to me.
