*Stacking the Shelves* 4 March 2017

(Titles link to Amazon via Amazon Affiliate links)

Stacking The Shelves is a feature/weekly meme created by Tynga’s Reviews in which you share the books you are adding to your shelves, both physical and virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Now, I already have a monthly post I do featuring the books I get in the mail (and it's a lot because I have a serious Goodreads First Reads giveaway addiction), and I'm going to try to start posting my monthly Read-A-Thon posts again too (even if none of the Platypires will be joining me), which will cover the books I receive through Netgalley. But I also go to my thrift store at least once a week, and often leave with a bag full of books. It's such a common occurrence that I'm known as The Book Lady to the frequent volunteers (and I suspect that they've started scheduling their $1 bag of books sales for Thursdays simply because that is the day I usually visit.) So my Stacking the Shelves posts are going to focus on my thrift store hauls, because this is my blog and I do what I want.

On that note, here are the books I picked up this week.

Aztec by Gary Jennings - This book is a monster! It's over a thousand pages long. It also came with a Cards Against Humanity card inside, so that's awesome.
Icy Sparks by Gwyn Hyman Rubio - I mentioned last week that I like to buy books that have been part of Oprah's Book Club, and this is one such book, so I had to buy it.
Paper Towns by John Green - It's possible I already own this book, but I'm not sure, so I bought it anyway.
The Chronicles of Chrestomanci: Vol 1 by Diana Wynne Jones - My copy of the book has a cat on the cover. Need I say more?
Henry's Sisters by Cathy Lamb - The cover of this book is blue, that's why I picked it up. I just now opened it to discover that it was signed by the author. Score.
Radiant Shadows by Melissa Marr - It's a good thing I sometimes like reading series out of order, because this is the 4th book in a series.
The Haunted Pumpkins by Michelled H. Nagler - This is a Scooby-Doo mystery beginner reader. My son said we needed it, so we bought it.
Young Fu of the Upper Yangtze by Elizabeth Foreman Lewis - Because we need diverse books, and I want to expose my children to as much diversity in literature as possible.
Ghoulfriends 'til the End by Gitty Daneshvari - This is a Monster High book, it's the 4th in a series, but I don't think that really matters all that much.
Ghoulfriends Just Want to Have Fun by Gitty Daneshvari - This is book 2 in the Monster High series mentioned above.
Ghoulfriends Forever by Gitty Daneshvari - This is the 1st book in the Monster High series. You're probably wondering why I didn't list them in order. The answer is I don't know, but I don't feel like changing it now even though it would be super simple.

So that's all the books I picked up this week. It was a smaller haul than normal and it cost me $3.25 because I missed the bag of books sale this week. It's still quite the bargain for all the books I got, so I'm happy.

What books did you pick up this past week? - Katie
